Metsol supplies operator training program

SSAB EMEA at the Oxelösund site in Sweden has awarded Metsol to supply a complete operator training package in selected steelmaking operations. Metsol will assist SSAB with the training program design, content and lecturing. 

Most of the content will be designed and/or compiled by Metsol to suit todays production needs in order to enhance the staff understanding of processes and equipment. Additionally, teaching, coaching of teachers, and course administration are included.

Training is a key ingredient to obtain a high quality in products and a high availability on equipment and machines in production. As an established supplier of know-how in metals production, Metsol has seen many examples on the importance of implementing full understanding of the processing operations, production philosophy, and handling of equipment in all the levels of the organisation.

Without this critical component of production which holds all other components together, state-of-the-art equipment and fancy processing schedules are not worth much.
