Dr Mselly Nzotta, Uddeholm AB, will present the importance of slag removal in order to increase steel quality with respect to non-metallic inclusions. The Metsol system LadleSlag was used to guarantee low slag carry-over and consistent slag removal every time.
Mr Sverker Ölund, Metsol AB, will present the LadleHeat technological package for keeping track of the thermal status of ladles in circulation. Real-time calculation and measurement model update guarantees a correct ladle thermal status to be used as input to the furnace tapping temperature calculation
