Metsol assists Ovako to take production

one step further

The Swedish steel producer Ovako has awarded Metsol AB the task to support in the development of the steelplant Level 2 and Level 3 process control and planning systems.

Metsol AB’s assignment is to define necessary functionality in order to fulfill present and future needs, thus meeting the expected increase in customer demands on product quality and performance.     

-“We are pleased to have reached an agreement with Metsol AB. This will enable us to secure the competence needed in order to fulfill our strategic goals”, says Andreas Carlsson, steel plant manager in the Ovako plant located in Smedjebacken, Sweden.

Ovako Smedjebacken plant is a mini-mill with EAF-LF-CC production line that produces long products which are further processed in the rolling mills in Smedjebackan and Boxholm. Read more about Ovako on www.ovako.com
